Nauta Tender 48 ′, custom yacht designed as a fast chase boat for a sailing super yacht.
Built in Italy by Maxi Dolphin, a shipyard known for fast composite builds, the Nauta Tender 48 ′ was created to meet an owner's demands for a versatile boat that could be used in a variety of roles when the mother yacht is performing long cruises in the Mediterranean.
In fact, the Owner planned to use the Nauta Tender 48 'to find potential anchors, to bring guests to the shore, to supply and to bunk in ports too shallow for the mother ship, or even for short autonomous cruises.
Nauta has created a simple, elegant and well-balanced exterior design reminiscent of a patrol boat.
Nauta Tender 48' is propelled by two Cummins 600HP engines coupled with Rolls-Royce Kamewa waterjets for a maximum speed of 37 knots and a long range to be always at the side of the mother ship. The tender also has oversized generators to serve the mother ship.
The hull of Nauta Tender 48 'is in fiberglass and Corecell for silent sailing, but to ensure proper stiffness at high speed it is reinforced with carbon fiber. The deck and deckhouse are in carbon fiber and Corecell for weight reduction and for lowering the balance of the boat at the point where the center of gravity is highest.
The hull has been analyzed and optimized with CFD techniques, obtaining a low resistance hull and allowing optimal positioning of the appendages.
